A holistic approach to lifting low energy and chronic fatigue
Do you ever wake up tired, even after a full night’s sleep? Feel like you’re dragging yourself through the day, relying on caffeine, sugar, or sheer willpower to get things done?
You’re not alone.
Low energy is one of the most common concerns I hear from people—especially women juggling busy lives, changing hormones, or recovering from stress, illness, or burnout. The fatigue feels deep, beyond physical, and no amount of rest seems to fully recharge your batteries.
The answer isn’t pushing harder. It’s pausing, softening, and gently rekindling your inner spark—and yoga is the perfect place to start.
Why We Feel Constantly Drained
Persistent fatigue often has deeper roots than just a poor night’s sleep. It can stem from:
Hormonal shifts (especially around perimenopause or thyroid imbalances)
High cortisol levels due to chronic stress
Nervous system dysregulation
Emotional overwhelm or anxiety
Poor breathing patterns
Lack of movement or overstimulation from screens and noise
And while there’s no one-size-fits-all fix, yoga offers tools to support every layer of your energy system—body, breath, mind, and spirit.
How Yoga Can Naturally Boost Energy
🧘♀️Movement that Awakens, Not Depletes - Unlike high-intensity workouts that may drain adrenal reserves, yoga uses rhythmic, gentle movement to stimulate circulation, awaken the spine, and support vitality - without leaving you exhausted.
🧘♀️Breath as a Source of Energy - Most of us breathe shallowly, which limits oxygen and contributes to fatigue. Yogic breathwork (pranayama) revitalises your entire system, lifting brain fog and restoring clarity.
🧘♀️Relaxation That Restores - When your nervous system feels safe, it switches into rest-and-digest mode. This is when real recovery begins - hormones rebalance, tissues heal, and energy naturally returns.
🧘♀️Mindful Awareness = Energy Conservation - Constant mental chatter is draining. Yoga and mindfulness help you quiet the noise, become more present, and stop wasting energy on stress, worry, or comparison.
What Makes My Approach to Yoga Different
When you’re tired, the last thing you need is a boot camp. That’s why my classes are built around kindness, pacing, and permission - to meet you where you are, not where you think you “should” be.
Here’s how I support people feeling low on energy:
🌸Gentle Energy-Boosting Sequences - We focus on slow flow, grounding movement, and gentle backbends that stimulate energy points without fatigue.
🌸Breath-Led Practices - Every class includes calming yet enlivening breathwork that helps clear brain fog and uplifts your spirit.
🌸Rest as Medicine - We end with restorative poses to soothe the nervous system and allow energy to settle and integrate.
🌸Encouraging Daily Rituals - Whether it’s a 5-minute morning stretch or an evening breathing practice, I help you create micro-moments of renewal that add up.
Try This Uplifting Yoga Mini-Practice
Seated Lateral Stretch
Sit comfortably. Inhale, raise your left arm. Exhale, lean gently to the right, stretching the side body. Breathe into your ribs. Repeat other side.
This creates space for breath and energy to move more freely.
Kneeling Cat-Cow (1–2 minutes)
Move slowly between arching (Cow) and rounding (Cat) the spine. Link breath to movement.
This stimulates spinal fluid flow and awakens energy along your central channel.
Standing Crescent Moon Pose
Stand tall. Inhale, lift arms overhead. Exhale, gently lean to one side. Inhale to centre, then exhale to the other side.
This opens the heart and energises the upper body.
Legs Up the Wall (Viparita Karani)
Lie on your back with legs extended up a wall. Rest here for 5–10 minutes.
A deeply restorative pose that calms the nervous system and improves circulation to vital organs.
Affirmation for Energy & Vitality
“I choose to move with ease and grace. My energy is flowing freely, and I honour what my body needs.”
Let this mantra be a soft reminder that energy doesn’t come from force—it comes from flow.
Essential Oil for Energy
🌼 Sweet Orange – Uplifting, bright, and revitalising, sweet orange oil helps lift low moods and brings a sense of lightness and optimism. Diffuse it during your morning practice or place a drop on your wrists to start your day feeling refreshed.
Yoga Pose to Ignite Energy
🧘♀️ Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana)
Lie on your belly, hands under shoulders, elbows bent. As you inhale, gently lift your chest and engage your back muscles, keeping shoulders soft. Exhale to lower. Repeat 3–5 times.
Cobra activates the spine, opens the chest, and stimulates the adrenal glands—helping reawaken your body and clear the mental fog.
