What to Expect

  • A warm, friendly welcome.
  • Relaxed, informal environment.
  • Small groups and classes.
  • Clear instructions, easy to follow for all levels of experience.
  • Variations and options, so it doesn’t matter how flexible, strong, or fit you are when you begin.
  • Focus on physical, emotional, and spiritual development.
  • Movements that help improve strength, flexibility, and overall fitness.
  • Breathing exercises that help reduce stress, anxiety and create a feeling of calmness and inner peace.
  • Guided relaxations and meditations.
  • Yogic tools that can help us navigate life both on and off the mat.

First Time?

  • In the beginning postures may feel more difficult than they look, and you may be a little stiff for a few days after practice as you will have used different muscles.
  • However, stamina, strength and flexibility will improve quickly.
  • Classes are mixed level with beginners and more experienced students.
  • Everyone is encouraged to work at their own level and take the options that feel good for their body.  Work at your own pace within your own capabilities. Please try not to compare yourself with anyone else.
  • You may find something easy one week and challenging the next – just note the difference, try not to judge yourself, be kind! Leave your ambition and ego at the door – there is no such thing as a perfect posture, so listen to your body and ‘feel’ what it needs.

What to Bring

  • Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in.
  • Warm layers for relaxation at the end of class.
  • Bottle of water.
  • Yoga mat. If you do not own a mat you are welcome to use one of mine whilst you are start your practise and figuring out if you want to continue long-term.
  • On open mind and heart!

I have benefitted so much from regular weekly online yoga practise, I feel so much stronger and flexible, particularly in my hips. I started 2020 on a planned programme of transformation with yoga.
