… And how to find solutions that work for you
Self care has been bandied about as a term for the last few years, and it means different things to different people. But the end result, no matter how you practice it, is going to be the same. By mindfully taking the time to pay attention to yourself, you can be more resilient and better able to handle life’s stressors, be more productive, and better help those around you. However self care is more than just buying yourself that special coffee drink once in a while or taking a bubble bath when you are feeling overwhelmed.
Self care is really being mindful about a lot of things such as your schedule and your sleep. It’s about learning your limits, recognizing when you have too much on your plate and trying to find ways to slow down, taking time to rest your body and mind. It’s not just about eating enough, but it’s about eating food that fuels you throughout your day. Self care doesn’t, like that coffee drink, happen just once. It has to be something that you do regularly. By building self-care practices into your daily routine, you can make it a healthy habit.
