Supporting pregnancy – before, during and after

The ancient systems of yoga and reflexology promote physical, emotional and mental well-being, which is vital during times of transition or uncertainty. Before, during and after, pregnancy will inevitably involve many physical and emotional changes, and the use of yoga and reflexology, with some mindful and caring adaptations will help relax, nourish and support during this time and help create a secure foundation for the years to come.

You may or may not know, I offer ‘Reflexology for Fertility and Pregnancy Support’. Sessions are available either at the lovely Hen House in Kingsbridge, or in the comfort of your own home, and are tailored to help to prepare your body, mind and heart, for conception, pregnancy, labour and mother-hood.

I have completed training in ‘Supporting Pregnant and Post-Natal Yoginis in a General Yoga Class’. So, if you are pregnant or have recently given birth, I look forward to welcoming you into my general classes, where you will be invited to relax, stretch and breath with confidence, comfort and support, in the company of your usual fellow yogis and yoginis.

In addition, I have also completed ‘Well-Woman Womb Yoga’ training with world-renowned Womb Yoga teacher and founder, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. I offer an annual one-day yoga retreat in South Devon, where we nourish our Spring & Summer Years (pre-natal and mother-hood). The retreat is open to all women who are seeking to create positive menstrual health and enhance fertility. During the retreat nurture and build the feminine energy of Shakti, through well-woman yoga postures (asana), gestures (mudras), breath (pranayama), energy locks (bandha) along with heart-based meditations (yoga nidra); all gently blended to promote vital energy, healthy menstruation and optimum fertility. We also look at the effect our diet has on menstrual and pre-conception health and enjoy delicious healing foods, prepared to enhance this time of our life.

And for after baba’s safe arrival, I am trained in ‘Baby Reflexology’. I offer short group courses and private 121’s in this amazing ancient healing technique, tailored to help soothe and calm baby in a safe, drug-free, easy to learn and effective way. Techniques may help with sleeping, colic, teething, digestion plus other baby related conditions. It can also help enhance the natural bond between parent and baby.

Treatments and classes are held in peaceful, warm and friendly spaces, to promote relaxation, vitality and optimal well-being for all.
