What better choice for a mid-day snack than a delicious power bite! The energising ingredients in this recipe are tasty and full of health promoting benefits.

Health Highlights:

Coconut: This fruit contains protein which can help the body rebuild cells and fortify body tissues and muscles. It also contains good amounts of fibre that can aid in a healthy digestive system and B vitamins for energy levels.

Cacao Nibs: Contains theobromine, thought to help reduce stress and depression, and a neurotransmitter called anandamide, which induces feelings of euphoria.

Raw Honey:  Has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties like hydrogen peroxide and antiseptic. Certain types of raw honey have been used to fight even the toughest of bacterial infections such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

Chia Seeds:  Excellent source of omega 3, and both soluble and insoluble fibres which can promote a healthy heart and digestive system and help elevate our mood and confidence.

Ingredients:

1 cup finely shredded coconut

1 cup almond butter

2 tablespoon raw cacao nibs

1/2 cup raw honey

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons chia seeds

3 drops doTERRA Peppermint essential oil

 

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients into mixer except for half cup shredded coconut
  2. Add essential oil
  3. Mix until well combined
  4. Roll into balls and coat in the other half cup of shredded coconut
  5. Place in the refrigerator or freezer for a quick blast
